Joining Forces for a Fairer Climate Future
At the Environmental Markets Fairness Foundation (EMFF), we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Regions Organization/Global Forum of Regional Governments (ORU Fogar), consolidating a strategic alliance that has been developed over more than two years of joint work.
This agreement is the result of sustained cooperation, built on dialogue, trust, and a shared vision: to advance towards a fairer climate architecture, where the regions of the Global South play a leading role in international environmental action.
The signing of the Memorandum formalizes our mutual commitment to strengthen regional capacities around environmental markets, climate justice, and ecological integrity. Within this framework, we aim to generate training strategies, meeting spaces, and new alliances that amplify local voices in global decision-making.
At EMFF, we are committed to continuing to work with an interdisciplinary and territorial perspective, supporting regions in the design and implementation of solutions that recognize the value of natural capital and promote its fair and transparent management.
We firmly believe that this alliance will contribute to deepening a model of decentralized cooperation, where knowledge, equity, and participation are drivers of transformation.
